Advent has trusted the 5&B team in independently dealing with many high-value clients that span the spectrum of the professional and collegiate athletic space. 5&B has interacted with each client representing Advent, taking care in regards to the client interactions knowing that, in a “white label” situation, our team was, by proxy, representing the Advent brand.
Primarily, Advent contracted 5&B to create cinematic case study videos to document high-value projects. It was important to hear the stories of various stakeholders in a particular project, these voices ranged from the various Advent teamembers, to the leaders in their client organizations such as athletic directors, head coaches, general managers, CEO or organization president. Capturing the story of these projects was critical to Advent’s marketing efforts, as they recognized that the most powerful way to communicate the who (who their clients are), what (work they tangibly do), why (what impact this work has) and how (their refined process).

White-labeling is a very serious proposition. When sending another organization to a client on your behalf, you must have the utmost confidence that the organization will treat that client how yours would. Fifth & Broad takes this very seriously, first and foremost, our team ingests all information about a project to make sure our team fully understands a project and the client relationship. We devote significant preparation to each project, taking great care to know the work that Advent did for the client, knowing the client and being familiar with their brand and story. We spent time talking to key stakeholders on the Advent side, examining all production documents to be as prepared and familiar with the overall project.
Each project was approached in a very similar way to ensure cohesion from project to project. This process included with similar interview questions and similar creative approaches to each.
5&B typically operated in one of two ways when producing these projects. Sometimes, the 5&B team would travel with an Advent teammember who would be the liaison and assist in projection duties. Other times, 5&B would travel to a project and handle every aspect of production without any form of Advent representative. These cases necessitated a significantly greater form of preparation and relied on the refined process that our team established for producing video work.

One major development to come out of this relationship is the synergy that has been created between the two teams which enable a deeper level of success due to free flowing ideation and open communication. The 5&B team has come to deeply know the Advent brand. Knowing the sales and marketing objectives, gives our team a head start when it comes to ideation and allows us to create content autonomously without requiring significant oversight by the Advent team. Our team is able to work independently and efficiently, this frees up the Advent team to focus resources in other areas by not babysitting another vendor thereby saving them money and making their internal resources significantly more efficient.
